For a student to be eligible to compete or participate on the Dallas Regional Spelling Bee they must be enrolled in the Scripps Spelling Bee program. The Dallas regional spelling bee welcomes all public, private, charter and home school students who have not exceeded the 8th grade. 

Enrollment will take place on the Scripps National Spelling Bee website at spellingbee.com from August 19, 2025 until December 31, 2025. Scripps has issued an enrollment and materials fee for each school involved at any level of the bee to cover all study material costs. Enrollment on the Scripps website will also act as registration for spellers on the path to the 68th Annual Dallas Regional Spelling Bee. The winners of the 2026 Dallas Regional Spelling Bee will receive a travel stipend and flights for the (3) top winners and their immediate families to the Washington, D.C. area to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May of 2026.
